There is renewed optimism within the UK industry. Despite economic hardship elsewhere, people are still turning to the peace of mind of a safe place to store their valuables. This is great for Hull and East Yorkshire, where increased investment and jobs are leading to greater storage demands.

Deloitte Real Estate has produced their latest Self Storage Association UK survey. In it Rennie Schafer, CEO of the Self Storage Association UK said, “Figures are encouraging as operators are seeing increased occupancy.’ He goes on to say “Life changing moments like moving home and starting families do not stop during recession, and this contributes to the 60% of space that is rented by the private customer.”
